As mentioned earlier, the costs differ between tests for AABB DNA testing.  An ancestry DNA test is likely to cost up to $300.  Paternity and Maternity tests can range anywhere from $300-$400.  Immigration testing can range anywhere from $600-$800.  One of the great aspects of DNA sample collection is that it is painless and easy to do.  All it takes is 1 or 2 cheek swab samples that are mailed to the lab.  Results are mailed back in less than 2 months.  The AABB accreditation program promotes the highest standard of testing quality.  Courts and government agencies typically require DNA tests to be done by those labs accredited by the AABB.
